The Team

Speisse is the result of an entrepreneur's vision combined with a builder's pragmatism.

The passage through Angola gave them a common history. The sporting spirit gave them the ambition to perform. Golf, which they both practice, gave them an attitude.

Good stories do not always begin with love at first sight. And successful companies with a future are, almost always, made of meetings that grow according to opportunities, of wills that come together to go further. Of complementarities that respect and admire each other. Not only between partners but, above all, between the team and the clients.

In the end, the important thing is the lives lived with the joy of doing good.

Gonçalo Nobre da Veiga

The Architect

Enterprising, focused, methodical. Spirit of a sportsman who always goes all the way and gives the maximum in everything he does.

Experience showed him that it was not enough to be an architect, it was necessary to go further in the vision of the scope of project management, so in 2011 he will take an MBA that gives him a greater understanding of the needs of clients both in financial terms and in terms of image and process management.

The diversity of activities and projects worked over 18 years began at Novodesign where he developed projects for stands and stores, followed by a relevant position at Intergaup, being responsible for monitoring the projects of the BCP Group.

And it is only natural that BCP invites him to lead the bank's network expansion in Angola.

The stay in Angola is extended by an invitation from the construction and real estate development company Siccal, which has been an unavoidable reference for more than 60 years in Angola.

The responsibilities increase because he will lead the technical department, having under his guidance the integral development of projects from architecture in the binomial conception/construction, to the preparation of the work and the definition and procurement of materials.

The opportunities in Angola in 2010 are immense. The dynamics of that time awakened his entrepreneurial spirit and he opened his own architecture office.

Working in Angola is a permanent challenge. It is necessary to find quality contractors so as not to jeopardize the projects. And the architectural firm is joined by a construction company that ensures a qualitative presence in medium-sized projects such as stores, restaurants, villas or residential buildings.

Fruit of the experience and success in Angola, in 2018 it starts the activity in Portugal in the same way. And this is how Speisse is born. Associating to the architectural design, construction and management of the work to ensure the final quality to customers.

The satisfaction achieved with Portuguese clients has given rise to successive projects, ensuring the viability and growth of Speisse, which can be gauged either by the high number of jobs or by the increase in employees.

Perfectionist, pragmatic, competitive. Determined to always give his best.

Civil engineer by profession, manager by vocation. That's why, in addition to his degree in civil engineering, he took the management program for executives at the Catholic University, followed by a post-graduate course in project management at ISEG.

His professional activity began in 1997, in one of the great Portuguese construction companies, SOMAGUE, where he had the opportunity to work in various projects, from schools to office and residential buildings to underground parking lots.

In 2003, he left for SOMAGUE Angola, taking responsibility for several works during his stay, including the Library of the University Agostinho Neto and the Clinic Girassol and later, the leadership of two important departments - the propping and formwork and procurement.

The complexity and scope of the experience had at SOMAGUE leads him to be invited in 2011, to be production director at Obrecol Angola and finally ends his stay in Angola, in 2016, as production director at Entek Company.

In 2017, already in Portugal, he starts his activity as an entrepreneur and in 2018 he joins Speisse as partner and responsible for the area of production, construction and works.
