"AT SPEISSE WE REINVENT SPACES"
More than developing design and construction projects, at Speisse the goal is to reinvent the intervened spaces, betting strongly on innovation and technology to create customized solutions, tailored to the needs of
its users, as partners Miguel Ferreira and Gonçalo Veiga tell us. branded content: Speisse
Present in Portugal and Angola, "Speisse is a design and construction company that reinvents spaces," says partner Gonçalo Veiga. For that, "we have a highly qualified and experienced team in architecture, engineering and construction, which offers customized services for clients in a wide variety of sectors, including commercial, residential and hospitality". The range of clients covers "from small private owners to large companies, some with international store chains, and investors looking for innovative and sustainable projects".
Assuming the commitment of "providing high quality services and exceeding our clients' expectations", Speisse "recreates space, bringing innovation and technology to create customized solutions to each project", in what Gonçalo Veiga describes as "a dynamic and collaborative work".
According to Miguel Ferreira, partner, "since the beginning, the office area has been strategically one of our main segments of activity" and, as such, "we have a wide range of projects in our portfolio, from small remodels to total redefinitions of space".
The satisfaction and well-being of users is a central concern common to all Speisse projects.
The office redesign of Better Collective, an international digital media company, is one of the examples in this field, "in a project where we used advanced design and construction techniques to create a modern and functional space, with flexible work areas and a variety of amenities for users". The Cowork in Chiado, "which became a very distinct and modern space that has had excellent reviews from its users", or "the space we developed for the House of Hope and Dreams, which is a place for corporate events that has also been highly praised", are other projects that integrate this portfolio, and "both spaces were designed and projected by us".
Ability to innovate and create customized solutions
Gonçalo Veiga adds that "our range of services for the office market includes from small projects and development of new environments, to total renovation projects to adapt spaces to new working realities, concepts of sustainability, environment and well-being at the workplace and brand experience. Sometimes it even involves the construction of new buildings".
In his opinion, "our added value for clients who hire us in this line of business is our ability to innovate and create customized solutions for each project, always with the goal of making the space more efficient, functional, and pleasant for users. Thus, and among several other solutions, "we invest a lot in multidisciplinarity and multifunctionality of the spaces, in the exploration of natural light, and in the use of greens as ways to enhance the space and its experience. Technology is another aspect that we try to maximize, whether in the automated management of spaces, or in the possible savings that can be achieved throughout the space.
Speisse's partner adds that "it is important to develop spaces that value the human scale and those who use them - whether from the customer's or the employee's point of view".
Flexibility and sustainability guide new market cycle
"With the pandemic we have seen a change in the needs of clients who come to us for office projects," comments Miguel Ferreira, noting that "companies now value flexible spaces even more, with open areas, outdoor spaces, and advanced technology to enable remote and collaborative work. In addition, health and safety has become a priority, and we have been implementing strategies to ensure that spaces are safe and an asset to those who work in them.
Gonçalo Veiga also says that "two major trends that we believe will mark the office market are flexibility and sustainability. Companies are increasingly looking for spaces that can adapt to their changing needs, and this includes the needs of their human resources, because they don't have a lot of space.
e can forget that of the 24 hours in a day, eight are spent in the office. This is increasingly becoming a major requirement for companies, and on that path, of course, sustainability has also become a priority for many owners and investors."
"Speisse is constantly growing, having practically doubled its turnover every year since it started its activity, and we hope to surpass last year's results in 2023", underlines Miguel Ferreira, saying that "despite the market challenges, last year we had a positive balance, having grown in all areas thanks to a reinforcement of the team and to the good feedback that every client is giving us about our work".
"Our growth targets are aggressive, but we are working hard to achieve them," he admits, revealing that "the estimated turnover for 2023 is around 9 million euros.
Thus, along with the growth projected for all areas where it already operates, "the year 2023 comes with interesting challenges in opening new business areas within the company, but also in strengthening some departments," he concludes.
